Volunteer
Grounds -
- Volunteers work under the direction of the Grounds Chairman.
- Contact us to volunteer to mow or assist with grounds cleanup on announced workdays.
- The mowing schedule is created in March. It is ideal if volunteers sign up by mid-March, if not before.
- The job includes mowing the grounds and trimming around edges.
- Note: we do not have a mower and depend on volunteers to use their own equipment.
- All volunteers are asked to sign a release form before they do any work on the grounds.
House Keeping -
- Volunteers work under the direction of the House Keeping Chairwoman
- The church is cleaned a few days before any scheduled service or other activity.
- Check the calendar for standard events and any new additions to the schedule.
- Contact us at least a week before a cleaning date to volunteer.
Quilt Show and Special Projects -
- Volunteers work under the direction of the Committee Chairman for any project.
- Once an event appears on the schedule, people interested in assisting are asked to let us know several months in advance, if possible.
- Big events offer many interesting opportunities to help make them a success.

Grounds -
- Based on the most recent prices we have for commercial mowing, a single mow costs $90.00
- If you would like to “adopt a mow” or part of one, then donate whatever amount suits your budget.
Donations for Building Upkeep and Maintenance-
- Exterior steps will be the next project as the current wooden steps are in poor condition. The estimate for brick steps with a landing and iron railings is about $12,000. As funds allow, we may choose to replace the current steps with another set of wooden steps, which will be less expensive.
- Exterior painting. The year 2022 is a painting year. If you would like to help us build a nest egg for the next painting job in about 8 years, your donation is welcome for that.
- The unexpected. The building is old, and on occasion, things need to be restored or replaced. Currently, we are watching the main roof, and a decorative shingle detail above the double doors. We have them inspected by professionals periodically, and anticipate work may need to be done, but not just yet. You can help us be ready.
